For more than 2 months Phil (666philb) has posted nothing?
Anybody knows if he is OK or even just noticed him logged in the forum?

Hi mavrothal.

Yeah, now that you mention it, that's a bit strange, isn't?

Perhaps he got fed up with us ingrates not giving him due credit
for his top-notch work... And he decided on another distro?

I hope it's not health-related.

BFN.

Googling his username comes up with a user of the same name who made a recent purchase on ebay. Hopefully that means he is OK. Of course that could be another person completely.

Perhaps he just needs time out from Puppy work. Shame, I reckon Tahr is probably the greatest Pup ever made.

But is 666 the first name or the last name? Hmmm...someone could grab the handle phil666 and confuse all the dyslexic people.

on this forum is "666philb". Smile

Want proof? Please see here Wink You can't miss it!

I was only joking but a handle doesn't necessarily have to match a real name an if it did then the b could be a middle name. Anyway, I found his full-ish name in the thread that you linked to.

"Phil Broughton"

I was hoping that 666 his first or last name Wink Dissapointed Razz

At one time he was active in the freenode.net IRC channel #puppylinux....until the new chanop(who is NOT a puppy user) banned him for some arbitrary reason.

I've sent him several emails concerning a problem I;m having with tahr 6.05 on a new Dell desktop with no answers....

I hope he's well and not gone from the Puppy Community...when he was active, here and in IRC, he was one of the most helpful and knowledgeable devs.

As an aside...this is one of the major problems with the "One Man Band" distros.

Maybe he has a devilish streak, Twisted Evil
-- then again it could be his street address number!

Let's hope he's only on a long holiday on a tropical island that he bought
for cheap!

is it true the tahr 6.0.6 iso is no longer available??
That would be a setback since tahr 6.0.5 and then 6.0.6 are very excellent distros. real heavy lifters running very well systems like zoneminder on a surprisingly large range of machines...old,older and the newest.

does this mean an end to Puppy Linux in this direction? is Xenialpup 32/64bit going to be the end of this line?
