I was digging around the OMG! Ubuntu site this morning, looking to see what's what.....and came across an article on VECTR.

Vectr is an SVG image creator and editor. It's totally cloud-based, meaning you can work on your images, etc., from any device, wherever you happen to be.
Click on the word 'Vectr', in orange on the first line of the article, and it links you to Vectr's home-page, from where you can d/l the program.
It's built after the same fashion as Electron-based apps, and AppImages, meaning you just unzip the contents of the package anywhere you like, and click on the executable binary. Same principle as the Windows-based PortableApps.
This is available in both 32- and 64-bit versions, and includes a series of short tutorials to help you get started. Anyone who's used to the GIMP or Photoshop won't have any problems in picking up how this works.....although some stuff may not work quite how you expect it to, so the tutorials will come in useful.
