For puppy siprit , you know we get more with precise versions than with newest ones. Our computers are not just born, and we don't need special libs as 3D blutooth and dri. Mistfire understood it with his x-slacko slim.
Kernels serie 4 are slow (yes ! they are).
What we need is the result, not what a distro is made of.,

That is not really why i don't succeed... I load iSos from Google Drive, i am an user of it too. I don't what you to change places (for my own)...

Just an Opinion choose a kernel known by rcrsn51, for wireless outdoor usage (not verified, Precise HU not loaded). I have in My Puppytheque wine version, that i like very much. I am searching puppy to kick out to place Light 5.7.1 instead..

The precise JL 5.7.1 cooked near Budapest is arriving on my Hard drive right now. I Did not check this forum, but the hungarian one.
Just with some english words or Linux words found beyong the magyar ones let you find what you need.
The japanese version of precise 5.7.1 is exacty what i think that a puppy should be in its standard version. Everything usual available, professionals in one activity having to load bigger apps via SFS.

3D has only Bino available, and you need movies 3D, and binoculars...

Which compression method did you use to compress the base sfs? Try -comp xz -b 1048576 -Xbcj x86 for best results.

Some people often not really experts share their work in this forum. I will as often as possible test their Puppies, If i am welcome of course. Hungarian team is a nice one.
I am sad that American never try foreign production, the language is not an huge difficulty. Magyar is not easy, but i can pass through the wall.

I was just suggesting the maximum compression method for the base sfs. The built-in remaster script normally does not use maximum compression for the base sfs so you will need to recompress it manually for maximum results. Maximum compression should make the base sfs 15 to 20MB smaller. BTW - Which method did you use to remove the built-in applications? The "Remove builtin packages" from menu has never worked well for me.

Ah, the hard but effective method. You can use this code to re-compress the base sfs if it's loaded. Change the paths according to your setup and rename the resulting sfs.

For video downloading I use flashgot - nothing else.

Merci For this Puppy 5.7.1. Japanese version was light, but the details added in hungarian version are so clever for get easy the life , and there are a lot to discover, day after day.

hi. I produced it one second puplet. This iso turned out somewhat bigger(141.8 Mb) and there is a palemoon 25.7.3 browser in him. On the other hand this browser-version, this googledrive- and yandex-compatible. (Yet...) Xhippo kicked out from this system...
It gnome-mplayer knows the same one.
