Based on Shinobar's JapanPup.

I used one of his Pups in Japan years ago.

Shinobar is a good egg.

I still have Japanese Pups on my drive.

pup_431JP2012 and lupu-528JP.

Ah, the hard but effective method. You can use this code to re-compress the base sfs if it's loaded. Change the paths according to your setup and rename the resulting sfs.

@nic007: I do not know an other method, only the built-in remaster puppy live CD script - it compress the sfs...

For video downloading I use flashgot - nothing else.

Merci For this Puppy 5.7.1. Japanese version was light, but the details added in hungarian version are so clever for get easy the life , and there are a lot to discover, day after day.

hi. I produced it one second puplet. This iso turned out somewhat bigger(141.8 Mb) and there is a palemoon 25.7.3 browser in him. On the other hand this browser-version, this googledrive- and yandex-compatible. (Yet...) Xhippo kicked out from this system...
It gnome-mplayer knows the same one.

This precise is in permanent progress process. DPP in french, that is i well known management method in best Business High Schools.

Exaile added. It's only brain-storming. I wanted to test PPM. First updating it. And installing Exaile, which is a difficult one and requires some experience.

Have you an idea how many downloaders they are for hungarian Puppies ?,
(who like bones, as all puppies of the world)
A downloader soon is a passenger, but few suscribe to english spoken forums (fora).
First step is to remember what teachers taught (?) at school during english classroom.
Then to enjoy learning again after a hard day building roads or cars. Not everybody works in an office;.. With Microsoft office, and a computer.

french translation of menu is not yet perfect. It's an old file that was used.
(from Toutou Linux). Ask french devs they should provide you the latest for Precise 5.7.1
I look for it from my side.. Feed back coming.
internationalisation/langpack_fr-20141219.pet This one is better updated and works for Puppy from Hungary, even if it's a precise flavour.

23°in Isaszeg you should use a different kernel which would allow people to take their laptop for a driving journey in the country side.
just buy a cheap dongle known to fit with Puppy Linux (see rcrsn topics about RTL8192 drivers)

dogs are forbidden on the beach, most often. but hunting will soon come. Puli is a famous hungarian dog for that. Make sure your laptop is waterproof. Sure it was easier to surf the web on the beach

I was using the last version of firefox on your Precise, just update the firefox provided with the ISO. It's the clever choice for newbies trying Puppies, much better than geek browsers for linux experts as elinks. Update firefox is the only job to do. Even ex'windows passengers know that, Firefox is so popular.
Some devs should be able to imagine that the 200 000 downloaders don't read English how to in the forum Puppy Linux . Some devs imagine that passengers are all devs. Sure we are clever, because we speak English, and they don't speak French or Magyar, because they are US . But we don't speak Linux. That is too much.

Instead of copying only the new sFS i had to copy all the files
I could burn a CD.. But it's half a day, often CDs are bad quality, and you have to do several burns
I could have used Lili Live USB creator, but all my files would have been erased because Pendrive has to be formatted.
I could have used isobooter, Which is not bad
I could have used the old unetbootin, but i would have problems with pupsaves..
s-kami tuto, unetbootin and windows XP
Grub4dos is the faster method, 5 minutes are enough, if nothing wrong as to-day.

Wonderful Puppy. Version should be 5.8 with so many ideas included. Tiny changes, big effects. Better development than to jump from kernel to kernel, Csipesz knows what he changes, and why.

On hamoudoudou's recommendation --see he is good for something

-- I decided to see what this puppy could do. I had forgotten how versatile Precise was/is. After adding qt libs, required by masterpdfeditor and foxitreader, about the only applications significantly 'outdated' seem to be google-chrome and clones.

As PupSysInfo wasn't included, the only RAM usage gauge I had was HTop. According to it, Precise 5.7.1 Retro Minimal only used 63 Mbs on bootup.

I'll try to remember to recommend Precise 5.7.1 Retro Minimal as among the Puppies to consider for 'older computers' and those desiring 'speed demons'.
