Juice jacking can happen if you have to recharge your phone or tablet via USB cables. Data transfer and charging can be done at the same time with USB cables, if charging stations provided in public places, such as airports, have been hacked.
Here is what you can do to mitigate that risk :
Avoiding public chargers is first on the list.
Use an AC adapter and plug it into a power socket.
Don't mount the drive if you have to use public chargers.
Use charge-only USB cables (PortaPow)
Use a USB converter (converting regular USB cables into charge-only ones)
Use personal chargers.
