Long time, no see!

#1 Post by darkstrike »

Hey all!

I haven't been here in a LONG time - life gets in the way sadly. :)

Linux Mint is my main distro these days, but I've always kept my eye on Puppy once and awhile as it was really where my tinkering with Linux had a start.

That being said, I've noticed progress on a "main", "official" Puppy distro has seemed to slow in the past while. TahrPup and Slacko seem to be a few years back?

Is an 'official', up-to-date Puppy distro still in development somewhere? :)

Xenialpup and xenialpup64 7.0.8.1, slacko and slacko64 6.9.6.4 (slackware 14.2 based) are at a stage of development of some usability. They can be used for main tasks and I use them. SailorEnceladus has built the 32 bit of slacko 700 beta with last woof-ce.

Ah, thanks Watchdog - didn't know those were the latest 'official' versions under development. :)

Any idea how long until they are released?

Will have to download and try them out in a VM!
