Puppy : quel noyau choisir ?

#6 Post by Pelo »

Slacko 5.6.0 :
Nice one! Experimenting with different Pups is something I don't think I shall ever tire of..... Needless to say, 560 is getting a lot of use at the moment. I'm having fun with it.....and it's very definitely a 'daily driver', since absolutely everything works as it should. Even my NetGear USB wireless adapter, with the rtl8192cu chipset, runs without issue; although I used rcrsn51's re-compiled driver for this in 570, it point-blank refused to behave itself.

Please explain. Are you saying that the 3.14.55 PET does NOT work in the new ToOpPy? Have you blacklisted the built-in driver?
Hint: Run the command "lsmod | grep 8192". It should JUST show "8192cu".

The 8192cu_slacko_6081-k3.14.55.pet was made with xz compression instead of the old gzip. I suspect that ToOpPy does not recognize these new PETs.

I will compile the driver specifically for Slacko 630 using gzip.

In fact, it should! But I forgot to integrate the new pet2tgz to the ToOpPy 2.2 release while I duly did it for the previous 2.1 as system update!
My apology for this!

Cordialement.

Ici j'ai installé la Slacko-6.9.6.4_r4777 noyau k3.14.79 mais on peut passer au k4.10.1 8)
Cependant mes périphériques WiFi fonctionnent à partir de Puppy/Toutou-3.01 k2.6.21.7 ;)

Gagner le bluetooh et perdre wlan1

#19 Post by Pelo »
