How to move drive icons' default position?

#1 Post by dnathemna911 »

Using Slacko 5(newest)
I was wondering how to move the drive icons at the bottom of the screen.
I want to increase tray size using JWM Config Manager and when i do it covers up labels and icons(partially) of drives at bottom.

I have tried drag and drop and upon reboot/restart they move to original position covered up.

I there a config file/script to modify to make them just a little higher.
I have googled it and looked around here but found no solution yet.....

thanks
Dan

Hi, You can change their positions by editing the file etc/eventmanager.

Try this http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=64464

After this is installed....you can move the icons and upon reboot by running desktop-restore you will have your new layout as it was before you rebooted.

Look at the end of the thread for making it automatic.

Good Luck

Thom
