How to choose and enable display driver in FatDog64?

#1 Post by jake29 »

Hi, happy new year to all.

I recently bought a linux compatible game during the Steam 'Winter Sale' and I'm trying to understand the situation regarding display drivers in Fatdog64.

I have searched the forum and cannot find an explanation.

Graphics card: ATI Radeon 7770.

Choices:
  • xf86-video-amdgpu (Apparently requires GCN 1.2 compatible cards)
    xf86-video-ati
Could someone explain the correct process for changing between drivers without breaking Fatdog? Also how can I install AMD Catalyst Control Center - if that is of any benefit to tweaking performance.

To provide an answer for others, the following Terminal command will allow you to choose active driver. However, driver support can depend on Kernel being compatible.

Code: Select all
