Tesseract Optical Character Recognition for Puppy Tahr

This is Tesseract-ocr 3.03.02 for Puppy Tahr.
To convert an image into a .txt file open a terminal and type:
Code: Select all
source_filename.jpg converted_filename -l eng

OCR_tcl GUI written in Tcl/Tk for Tesseract

For those interested in tesseract I've created a GUI written in Tcl/Tk for use with Tesseract. With this app you can also scan an image, that will appear in the left side of the window. When you OCR the document, the text will appear on the right side of the same window.
Setting a name for the files to be scanned and translated into text is mandatory. You can choose the directory where you want to save the files.
The app has these dependencies:
