I wonder if wifi printers are considered IoT devices? They are increasingly common and often sit there powered on all day.

Not only that, but many if not all all-in-one printer/scanner/copiers have a hard disk drive inside that records whatever's copied or printed. Modern copiers don't work like old-fashioned ones. Most copiers now are actually scanner/printers. The output of the scanner is recorded in the hard disk drive, though I'm not sure why, then fed to the printer. People have taken the hard disk drive from a discarded copier and been able to recover from the drive documents that had been copied.

The hard drive is for bulk copy.
I remember when I was studying and didn't have money for books, the copiers around the college area would have books scanned and saved on that drive.
I would just have to give name of book and he will start copy then spiral bind those pages and I would have low cost book to study from.
It saves them scanning each time again. And can copy months later too.
Every new functionality creates new issues.

And for frequently used templates too sometimes.
