Toshiba laptop and pcmcia - no boot

Puppy hangs in my toshiba m70-164 laptop when it reaches the pcmcia part. I searched the forum and i found other posts from toshiba users about same problem. My question for developers is if it's very hard to add a nopcmcia boot code to puppy to avoid this problem? Does anyone know a workaround?

You can easily type:
puppy nopcmcia
at the boot prompt. when I do that on my laptop my pcmcia network card doesn't come up, but it may or may not help your problem. From a quick google that model laptop has a problem with some kernels.
