can i save a netfix/sam stream?

I want to keep a copy of what I recieve by streaming for later personal revatching.. Is that practical/legal? (I don't know)

You probably can't, but, depending on country, PlayOn appears to offer the service.

You supposedly can't directly save it because of the DRM it uses. You can use a screen recorder to capture and reencode it, which would be rather lossy, but it would be illegal at least in most circumstances.
