Unable to compile in Quirky

HI all (any compiler helpers/experts out there?),
Is it possible you could take a look at this post-URL below on murga (slavvo doesn't drop in very often....so it might be a long time before he replies).
What the heck am I doing wrong? **Update: I went to ibiblio, downloaded the full devx-8.0 barry uploaded, installed it to Quirky 8.0 USB install, and I am still getting that darn:
sh: make: command not found
I know "make" and everything else is there in the quirky install, I mean, the whole +~200mb devx file is installed. (i also re-downloaded the openssl-1.0.2j file to make sure I didn't get a corrupted download the first time).
Thanks!
