I hope gcompris-qt will be packaged for Xenial Puppy (eg, in a .pet).
Here's a link to the "self-extractible" binary release from the GCompris website:

Some assistance with the packaging task may be available from the excellent people contactable at: support@gcompris.net -- but I'm a novice and therefore must invite more skilled forum member(s) to make this happen.
(I understand Qt5 is in XenialPup.)
