A slacko 5.7.0 PAE V2 with wine and other extras

#1 Post by csipesz »

Hello everyone. I prepared a slacko 5.7.0 pae mod.(CD, 699 Mb)
Downloadable from here:
PLEASE, READ BELOW!
Almost it's all right, but unfortunately, there is a strange li'l' mistake in him: the full installation wrong... - but there is a solution: go into the /initrd/pup_ro2 folder, and copy the full content into your aim partition.
After this, run the puppy universal installer on a usual manner, and elect in him the full install into your aim partition, and the refreshing! - if he is ready, may come the grub4dos and Hurray.
Wine gamers may download nvidia driver from here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=101347
I built the next things into the stuff:
wine
clamAV
openbox/lxpanel
take-a-shot
wm-switcher
xvkbd
pvidgets
pupclockset
mousecursor-themes, gtk and openbox themes, icon themes
gpicview
getflash
qt482
fbreader
bleachbit
pupcontrol
audacious
vlc210
dosbox
hydrogen/drumkits
zynaddsubfx
timidity/gus-patches
zsnes
random wallpaper changer
openjdk_icedtea
imagination
audacity
evince
xvidcap
guvcview
pstartup/shutdown-sound
avidemux
1-2 minigame.
kicked out: viewnior, rubix, xsoldier, picpuz
Warning, i keep the original, firefox 17 browser, this very good but not mega-compatible! for using mega data-store, you need to install a chromium browser too, or replace firefox 17 to latest.
lastly, the stuff looks so:

698MB !
I just have used a CD Slacko 5.5 ncluding my favourites apps
Yours is really too big for a puppy, For my use.
But it's well Puppy gives the choice, from barebones, standard, large. :)

look, Pelo, from me this CD was only a practice...
I was curious about him, what knows how?
But the csipeszpup the right,. (according to me)
I love the biggest puppies. more interesting, more useful.

Good luck and success for you

From barebones to 700 MB, your are free, each user will have choice.
Why burning a CD if half is empty ? OK
The spirit was the same with my Fat Slacko 5.5.
Good luck and success for you :)

I do not see the file from the stick puppy_slacko_5.7.0.sfs

It do not see the file from the stick puppy_slacko_5.7.0.sfs

Change the file extlinux.conf usbflash by cd word:

append initrd=initrd.gz pmedia=cd pfix=copy

So that when you boot the stick slackosave look for files in hard drive but this will not be found.

I do this in Slacko 5.6 and other distributions, but do not know why not work o in this distribution.

Pretty distribution.

Thank you

This Puppy is enough for me, just added some pets
Aqualung, xvidcap and the french screencast Easycast by Argolance ( to test it)

downloading from ally archives.org repository. (1hour 50 minutes)
Download from some websites is available on few days. Don't think too much. Or your Puppy is quickly no longer available.
I wanted to test slackopen too. But no more supported.
archives.org is really nice to keep ISOs available, even if no downloads done. Merci ally

Magyar in our french pets for XVKBD

#12 Post by Pelo »

csipesz , our french puppy-builders recently issued a pet for xvkbd . This one improves easy to do settings, including colors for the keyboards. Unfortunately Hungarian (Magyar) not included. How could we repair this huge omission ?
