installing the new gxine

#1 Post by darkerror05 »

im trying to install a new gxine. I installed the deb and now its asking for deps. I found the deps list here: http://packages.debian.org/unstable/graphics/gxine could someone tell me what ones of those i need or how to figure out the ones i need. Also is there a way to updates these without having ot do them one by one? Thanks.

Run Pupget, and install pb_debianinstaller_alpha09.

Install your deb again with it, it will check the dependencies, and offer to install them, too.

run it from a console-window, to see what it reports.
Also look in the end of /tmp/xerrs.txt

In case you get something about "bad window match", try this:

in a console:
XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1;export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS
gxine

Does that fix the crash?

lirc: cannot initialise - disabling remote control
lirc: maybe lircd isn't running or you can't connect to the socket?
and I a segment failt when I tried the about.
