I don't have backlight on mine.
The power app in XSlacko 4.4r24 doesn't seem to work properly. The screen's set to go off in 1 hr though it can only last for less than 10 min ...

mistfire,

how can I get to XSlacko's boot menu, with the option to RAM? now it sends me to the save right away.

Same behaviour, high-pitched beeps on wakeup, with various other kernels swapped in (both 3.xx and 4.xx),

@kuman11

Sorry for late reply
use this boot parameter in your bootloader to boot puppy without loading savefiles

Code: Select all

pfix=ram
@westwest
If you have spare time, could you please download boot X-Slacko made by @rg66 in your dell laptop then try to sleep and wakeup

Trying it out

@misfire, I am a new user to X-Slacko but I will not whine to you unless it is necessary.
Just forewarning you. I know that not all software will work on all hardware. My hat is still off to you for your obvious hard work.

Sincerely,

Fishman

New X-Slacko Slim iteration released

Changes:
* Basic cache cleaning. This will trigger the cleaner on the following scenario
+ Upon shutdown if the save session was a save file or in multisession mode
+ When periodic save on flash ran or execute save2flash
+ When the free disk memory was below 10%

This also can be run manually by typing this command

Code: Select all

sudo purga-cache.sh
* Premature starting of ircp-tray is fixed
* More bugfixes

Test on Acer C720

#963 Post by Volhout »

Hi mistfire,

Tested on Acer C720 (chromebook).
- no audio
- no touchpad
Would have expected this new kernel to support at least the C720 audio.
Thats why I tested this one... Touchpad is a tricky one...

wifi works (frisbee), keyboard, ext. mouse, battery indicator
booted right to the desktop.
bluetooth not tested.

Looks familiar (not much changed since Xslacko-slim 4.2R37 from the looks).

@kuman11 yes it is

@Volhaut may I know the name and model of the sound cards and touchpad? Try to swap kernel file and zdrv file with another from other puppies just rename the zdrv file to zdrv_ xslacko_4.4.sfs

By the way at first X-Slacko Slim was looked unchanged however it was improved under the hood.
