Having trouble getting woof-ce to work.

#1 Post by Lassar »

I thought I give woof-ce another try.

I got this error from it.

Code: Select all

./3builddistro-Z: line 617: checksum failed: command not found
Checksum passed
Kernel is 4.9.13-xenialpup64 version
kernel-modules.sfs-4.9.13-xenialpup64
vmlinuz-4.9.13-xenialpup64

Now building initial ramdisk in initrd-tree/...
LANG: en_US.UTF-8

* Extracting initrd_progs-20170322-static.tar.xz...
Arch: x86_64

* Using default locale
* Using default keymap

***        INITRD: initrd.gz [x86_64]
*** /DISTRO_SPECS: xenialpup64 7.0.8.4 x86_64

chroot: can't execute 'echo': No such file or directory
ERROR: could not 'chroot' into sandbox3/rootfs-complete
This means that something is incomplete, perhaps a library
needed by bash. Check it out. Have to exit script now.

Here is my DISTRO_PKGS_SPECS-ubuntu-xenial file.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Does it work if you use the original spec file? I see you made a lot of changes :)

HI Lassar.

You say: > Having trouble getting woof-ce to work.

Except for BillToo who's become a virtuoso at it... what else is new?...

BFN.

This time I choose the standard options.

Used the original spec file.

And still got errors in it,

Code: Select all

I thought it was because I was using Win Puppy.

So I changed to pure tahrpup64.

Still the same errors.

What puppy is being used to develop Zenial?

Lassar,

Both Xenials and Tahrs are building fine. Something is going on at your end, and you've got to figure out what it is. If something was wrong, I wouldn't have just been able to build (a few minutes ago it just finished) your version of Xenial x86_64, and I've also built custom Tahrs just a couple of days ago. See here (and please keep general woof-CE build inquiries/questions in that section where its specifically designed for, and not here in the project section):
