Netsurf 3.4
Better would be to insert certificates in Puli..
Better would be to insert certificates your Puli.. When roots will understand that users don't want to Linux anything. Insert the CD and go.. Furthermore for browsing the web.
Reality : netsurf ask in English if you accept to go there (where you asked to go) ,
First you don't understand the questions
Second you always answer 'yes'. Why i should answer 'no' ?
Donn't be offensed by my opinion. I like Puli however. But my friends would not be able to use it.

Dear Pelo,Pelo wrote:Better would be to insert certificates your Puli.
I learnt (and will learn) a lot from your comments and advice.
For example, I have built the certificates in the new Puli 6.1.0.
However, knowing that you have an earlier Puli version, in my above post I proposed you to download and run the ca-certificates package.
Although Netsurf is not among the supported browsers of Puli, I can assemble a package compatible with your Puli (Netsurf + certificates + libraries). Please tell me the name, size and creation date of your puppy_puli_6.x.x.sfs file. MD5 info is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Have fun!

Edit on May 13, 2017: New package available there. I added ca-certificates to OscarTalks' version 3.6 (wheezy) and configured to run netsurf as spot by default.

I have 2 versions of Netsurf 3.6 compiled in Wheezy and Slacko 5.7
Not sure about the SSE status though, you will have to test that.

I installed the .pet file in my Slacko-5.7.0 and it runs ok, BUT...OscarTalks wrote:It runs in Slacko 5.7...
Tried www.youtube.co.uk [so far Palemoon-24.7.1 is the only browser I have that plays Youtube videos with sound] and...
The list of videos is too narrow [3 wide] and tall [30], AND...
When I try to play a video, it displays as a tiny BLACK window that doesn't play, AND...
All content only occupies the left half of the web-browser window [the window fills the screen].

Hello Jose.Jose A. Senna wrote:I downloaded the .pet package of Netsurf 3.6 using the link
provided in this thread, and installed it with petget.
The new entry appears in the Internet section of the menu,
but when I click on it , nothing happens.
OS= Racy 5.5
Hardware= Pentium II 300 MHz, 288Mb RAM.
As you can see from reading the first post in this thread, this NetSurf is
compiled for tahrPup-6.0.5, which has a C library version above the one
used by racy 5.5.
Therefore this compilation of NetSurf-3.4 cannot run on racy 5.5.
If you know how to compile, perhaps you could try compiling NetSurf-3.4
on your racy-5.5. That possibly could work, although NetSurf is known to
be difficult to compile.
IHTH.
