iw

Quote:
iw is a new nl80211 based CLI configuration utility for wireless devices. It supports all new drivers that have been added to the kernel recently. The old tool iwconfig, which uses Wireless Extensions interface, is deprecated and it's strongly recommended to switch to iw and nl80211.

Puppy has the ip command for some time, now. But, I am not sure if modern PUPs use IProute2's current version. Sensing that most PUPs, excepting 1, uses Debian-Ubuntu/Slackware as base, I would hope that the latest version of IProute2 is present.

Thanks for ALL of the work you have and are doing in bringing PUP solutions for LAN (wired/wifi) and Sound!

Muchly needed and appreciated.

At some point, it is hopeful that PUPPY will get around to including DNSmasq as a standard item. This product provides much needed cross-road to where LANs needs are going.
