I really feel shameful to ask this question in beginners help after using puppy for more than 6 years.
But after modifying some partitions and deleting all save files when I tried to boot wary puppy it hangs after showing automated login prompt. Lupu 5.2.8 gives squash file error when booting from cd and when I tried to load using linld it gives kernel panic not synching after tring to swirch root.
I have verified check sums of both ISO and verified cd after buring.
I am using old P-iv with intel 845 motherboard and onloard realtek 8139 ethernet card.
Can anybody guide me how to solve these problems ?
Thanking you.

Sounds to me like too many major changes at once.

Do I think someone here has a magic bullet for what you've described?

Not likely.

Seriously, admit you screwed up and get back to reloading..

@mahesh_s_chavan. You have already posted a similar problem regarding Puppy Precise in the Users part of the forum. If none of these Puppy's work - and they have done so before - perhaps it is best to look for answers in the computer's hardware. Check the memory and hard drive. If booting from pen drive, check for corruption. Even better, format USB and start over.

That is what this forum is for, but posting the same problem in several places in the forum reduces the effectiveness and usefulness of the forum.

I am sorry to post almost same question in different part of the forum.
But I have done that because they are different issues.
1. I have posted wary and lupu could not run in begginers corner to know how to solve kernel panic not synching issue or why wary hangs after showing automated login prompt. I have formated my hard disk partition. Formated my pen drive and loaded linld.com and oter puppy files. Tried to boot from cd with same result.
I have checked my ram using memory diagnostic program and my windows vista is working fine.
2. Puppy precise 5.7.1 gets loaded but without any hardware driver and I am unable to load module using insmod or modprobe So I have posted it in hardware related forum.
Please let me know how I can start fully functional puppy f any flavor let it be lucid wary or precise. I am astonished as all three versions of puppy were running fine on same pc.
Incidently I have tried slacko 6.3 which shows black screen and work around of modeset=o is also not working. Also puppy pfix=nox is ignored and I do not get command prompt.

That you jumbled your partitions is why Pup panics. I suspect you've gotta boot live, reboot and create a fresh save, your given pups main sfs included, then replace this save with your old one. A simple, no-frills method that works.
