Slacko 6.3 kernel panic Subject description: coming out of suspend mode, my toshiba has a flashing caps lock indicator
This machine is a bit of a mess at the moment - I was running a previous puppy (5.7.??) for 3 years, and another puppy before that, so the big disc on this thing has too many save files and my grub menulist really needs a contents page. I also seem to have "checking for puppy files..." running twice??? Feel free to tell me to clean up my act and re install it properly but I did think I'd try and see if it was a known oversight or something.
Is anyone else having this problem? I see it is to do with the wireless networking which required a patch on these old machines...
Not clear what the problem is.
Boots from? ( a frugal install on HD? formated as? Patritions? grub/grub4dos command?)
Always runs "checking for puppy files" twice?
Get a kernel panic when switching root? ie after your pick you savefile? earlier? latter? At which point in the boot process?
Boots OK with "pfix=ram" (assuming "from other than that")
If yes does it do it with all your slacko savefiles or a new one generated by 6.3.0? _________________ == Here is how to solve yourLinux problems fast ==
