[mount sda] Strange filenames after mount of sda[solved]

#1 Post by Béèm »

As MUT, for some reason, don't work anymore, I can only mount my USB device (sda) by hand.
I give 'mount /dev/sda /mnt/sda'
When I look at the files with ROX, I have shortened filenames with a tilde in there, seems to be the dos 8.3 format.
Is there an extra parameter to set to get the full filename?

Thank you gentoo, I should have looked at the forum first. before trying my self.
I found it and your advice is a confirmation I did well.

I raised the problem of MUT already in http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=10416
