Bravo, Hacao!

So this release has the built-in successes of Puppy 2.02 and Hacao Office 2.01 (that has OpenOffice 2.03).

EDIT: It is still logical to call it version 2.02 because its pup_202.sfs is still named 2.02.

:D

Had a real battle getting the torrents going . . .
thanks everyone for hosting, seeding and helping

I know this is a massive Puppy (no fainting at the back now) but Open Office is a great program and I hope Hacao will release the Puppy 2.03CE standard soon . . .

Open Office is very nicely integrated into Puppy
Well done Hacao

:D

This sounds like something I want to try!

So, never having experienced an upgrade before, I'm a little nervous about it. Can you offer me some advice?

I'm currently running 2.02. I use the LiveCD, but I have a save file on the hard-drive (NTFS). I've just about got to the point where I've got Puppy running well for me, with some changes to the configuration (I have edited modprobe.conf, added stuff for wireless connections, etc).

Can I upgrade without losing all this?

Make a backup - copy pup_save.3fs to another name or hide another copy in a subdirectory. Then try!

Thanks for the advice - I'll try that.

UPDATE: That worked just fine! Thanks for the advice. 2.03CE loaded just fine, and all my settings seemed to be preserved.

What about frugal?

I really like my frugal puppy 4.1.2; how does one "upgrade" to this new puppy office? I've already DLed the iso. What's next - another frugal <groan>?

Its not new, it was posted Thu Aug 24, 2006 9:06 pm.
just add the older smaller openoffice 2.2.0 to your 4.12
http://puppylinux.ca/puppyfiles/pet_pac ... -2.2.0.pet
plus you could also add the dictionary
