3 Days I have a Puppy what alearning experience thanks forum

#1 Post by Dragon »

Man I was ready to continue booting an Xp on this computer . Stopped this afternoon and went and burned another cd from site . Man this Puppy ran. I'm online with this Puppy! Thanks all that help in the forum. I will be spending time in here trying to help as well. I surely have learned a lot in 3 days.

I just picked up this Pent 4 for $20 bucks this past weekend. I'm having a hard time cleaning off the hard drive. I don't want the XP on here. Surely would like to find away to get it off of sytem and only use Linux.
Only 256 ram 69.2 available. I will find more ram to add.
This was a froze up sytem prior to me getting Puppy on it..
Thanks

That's also cool, having 0 post and yet learning from the Forum - you really knew how to use a forum. :D

Unless you plan to use OpenOffice2 regularly, your available memory is fine with Puppy - you can add more virtual memory by creating a swap file on hard disk. Gparted is there for you to easily do that.
