Small dual-panel file manager BeeSoft BSCommander

#1 Post by Sit Heel Speak »

No drag'n'drop, but it is under 1 MB total size including the qt3 libraries; includes built-in viewer, editor, FTP client, file-compare, directory-compare, and MD5 sum checker and generator. Looks nice in KDE but works well without it. Native support for English, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian. Installing this plus Xfe ( for the Xfe dotpups, see MU's replies to me at http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=10054 ) comes very close to one of my primary mileposts in Puppy, which is to have as powerful of GUI dual-panel file commander capabilities as I have in Windows 98SE with the fabulous 2xExplorer ( which I actually prefer to its newer payware descendant xPlorer2 ). If either Xfe or BSCommander were to add sync scrolling and mirror browsing a la 2xExplorer, then the two together would be everything I desire.
