chntpw version 0.99.3

This is a utility to (re)set the password of any user
that has a valid (local) account on your NT system.
You do not need to know the old password to set a new one.

NOTE: This program is somewhat hackish! You are on your own!

If the file system is NTFS, you should use Puppy 2.0.2 or later
which has read/write support for NTFS

statically linked with the openssl library
So, note that the binary then contains cryptographic code
which may be illegal for you to export.
(it should be ok on this server, which is located in Canada - G2)

That is one problem with puppy, lack of use of XP, I tried to install mbrfix and recover console so I could Grubboot puppy within XP, but since I haven used XP so long I forgot the admin. password. The microsoft update churned and loaded 22 patches on the first XP boot, and a few more on the second reboot, it looks to have finished for now.
I'll check it out.

Quick note:

Encrypted XP/NT files will be lost after a hard password reset. One has to be logged in and use the ctr+alt+del "change password" to preserve them (unless you've back up your keys).
