Looking to make wireless work on a donated HP crapola desktop...
with the original inbuilt usb wireless.

Tried LXpup 64 and Puppy Bang.

This installation script supports Windows Vista for the
Ralink RT73 series USB Wireless LAN Card.

The download exe. I used from HP states under properties

" Original Lite-On USB Wireless LAN Driver "

Windows 7 devices states >> Lite-On.

Connected straight away.

So part solved...why doesn't LXpup64 connect

as well as Puppy Bang?

Run "dmesg" and check for errors - particularly with the firmware file rt73.bin

Thanks mate...been busy on an ugly HP 110 win8.1 deskstop.

Vista looks like a breath of fresh air versus 8.1 on this HP 110 sludge pot.
Puppy works though...wireless work too.
