Simple Live Conky GUI Subject description: A live GTKDialog front end for Conky |
|
Hello,
#Edit# Updated to Beta1
Now includes a color chooser, and free text input!
I've been working on a GUI for Conky w/GKDialog.
It actively reacts to input.
Choose a color, choose an element, choose a separator, and view the results real-time.
Still Beta ATM, lots more to do.
It's a roxapp, click and run.
Assumes you already have a working Conky.
Selecting an element launches Conky screen right.
Additional elements or separators appear after two seconds.
More tab includes a save button.
It runs conky with a config in its directory.
"Save" creates a "conky.conf.bak
If you like it, copy it to /etc/Conky and remove the .bak.
Test it if you dare!
To do:
Backgrounds, make "text" element work, location/size, more...
Clicking while "null" IE clicking "OK" without a choice instead of "cancel" sends a blank line to Conky, bug or feature?

Description |
Latest version includes "delete last line" and a slideshow. View readme before using.

Hello,
One reply in two and a half years!
I'll load debiandog and see!
As I recall it worked fine on my son's debiandog.. all it does is edit the conky configuration file perhaps it is stored in a different location in Debiandog.
Thanks for the interest, and reminding me I did this!!!
