Hi

I have puppy slacko64 (6.3) on a usb stick.

I would like to use it to get into my windows 7 machine which for some reason is no longer responding to my password.cue

Having done some googling it seems that chntpw would allow me to do this, but it is not present by default on the puppy system.

Does anyone know if there is a puppy package for chntpw ? and if so how I can install it ?

Or is there another puppy package available that will allow me to do by pass the windows password ?

----------------------

If this is not possible there does also seem to be a PupRescue iso image which looks like it is designed doing this sort of thing. Is that the case ?

Should I be able to create a live usb with this iso image simply by usig dd to transfer it to a usb drive ? Or is installaiton more involved than that ?

Larry, there's a copy here.

Then try: chntpw --help from a shell and confirm whether it dumps it's help options.

If good..

chntpw seems to be available in the linux distribution Hiren's BootCD:

Hope that chntpw would be added into puppy package soon.
Thanks!
