LxPupSc-18.06M-k64 is a 32-bit woof-ce 'master' branch build with a 64-bit kernel (therefore only compatible with 64-bit capable processors)

LxPupSc-18.06M-k64.iso {devx} - (devx does not include kernel sources or headers) {kernel 4.16.13-lxpup64 sources}

iso md5 = 06eaf96e43f014bb596388d02d7cc6eb

Interim delta updates and newer kernels may be available.

Delta from 18.05T is available

- kernel 4.16.13 64-bit built with GCC-7.3.0
(alternative 32-bit kernels 3.16.x 4.4.x 4.9.x & 4.14.x also available - all need firmware in the fdrv)
- Made from Slackware-Current as of Fri Jun 1 21:28:10 UTC 2018
- BUILD_FROM_WOOF='master;b434351e;2018-05-24 23:29:04 +0800'
- web browser in adrv is light-48.0
- ffmpeg is upgraded to 4.0
- firmware is in fdrv
- alternative fall-back xorg is in ydrv (no need to install unless needed)

**N.B. the 64-bit kernel means that any kernel drivers have to be built in a true 64-bit system - LxPupSc64 with it's own devx is suggested but use the kernel sources above

Woof-CE build repository is: http://smokey01.com/peebee/slackocurrent/

Chromium, Firefox, Palemoon and Seamonkey are in the repository and installable via Internet -> Get Web Browser

The versions of the browsers as of 02-jun-2018 with their md5sums are:
chromium_67.0.3396.62+pepper_29.0.0.171 RUN-AS-SPOT :26b3fc0c237a49f18ca088236f2182e8
firefox-52.8.0esr :cbddbc46f88c512ae7d234400a22a023
palemoon-27.9.2 :0d73b4b1001e6a3e95a041e2c95893b3
seamonkey-2.49.3 :8b448cd64ca38e5bc774ccb772db8460
firefox-60, iron, slimjet, vivaldi and min are also available

I installed to a 16gb SDHC card:

System: Host: puppypc4651 Kernel: 4.16.13-lxpup64 x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: LXDE (Openbox 3.6.1)
Distro: LxPup-Sc 18.06
Machine: Device: desktop System: Compaq-Presario product: AU194AA-A2L CQ5123F serial: MXX9300M0F
Mobo: MSI model: Boston v: 1.0 BIOS: Phoenix v: 5.24 date: 06/19/2009
CPU: Dual core Pentium E5200 (-MCP-) speed/max: 1216/2500 MHz
Graphics: Card: Intel 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller
Display Server: X.org 1.20.0 driver: intel tty size: 142x25 Advanced Data: N/A for root
Network: Card: Realtek RTL810xE PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller driver: r8169
Drives: HDD Total Size: 547.6GB (1.8% used)
Weather: Conditions: 72 F (22 C) - Clear Time: June 2, 8:59 PM EDT
Info: Processes: 123 Uptime: 1:11 Memory: 293.6/3939.0MB Client: Shell (bash) inxi: 2.3.8

The package manager is slow but it does work.
Tried to compile but kernel headers needed I guess so no go.

That's it so far.

Kernel Headers Uploaded

Reminder - the devx is 32-bit and should only be used to compile applications...

The kernel is 64-bit so to compile drivers you need to install this kernel into a 64-bit system with a 64-bit devx.... LxPupSc64 is suggested....

Compiling works now, thanks.
I forgot to mention that my install wouldn't boot until I edited the
menu.lst file:
# menu.lst produced by grub4dosconfig-v1.9.2
color blue/cyan yellow/blue white/black cyan/black
#splashimage=/splash.xpm
timeout 10
default 10

I changed the default from 0 to 10 and it booted fine after doing that.

As I read the phoronix note, that mitigation on the Intel side also requires new microcode that isn't out yet.

I changed kernels and everything still works so I'll keep using it.

I installed to a 32gb usb-3.0 flash drive:

I installed the same apps with PPM as the install on my Compaq
desktop, compiled some apps.
This pc has a nvidia graphics card, the nouveau driver did not work
well, tearing in streaming video, so I swithed to the built in intel
grapics which is working much better.

18.0.5 +5 frugal Grub4Dos install (ext2 savefile) on Fujitsu S761 i5 based laptop updated to 18.06. Video driver, resolution and FPS ok. Sound and Ath9k wifi using SNS fine. Clean dmesg, no issues noted in daily use, slimjet, geany, PCManFM, PDF viewing, printing... No optical drives on this i5 beater so no tests there.

Pursuant to http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=988059#988059, I have reverted to slimjet 18.0.5.0 for now. 19.0.2.0 (and 19.0.3.0 and 19.0.4.0) have issues loading flash on some sites such as displaying loops at https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=arx&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=no Since it's so site specific I didn't see it for a while but I use that radar a lot hence my reverting. It's been discussed on the slimjet forum and I've worked with pepperflash version, library versions and libffmpeg.so without success. The vast majority of sites, youtube, etc. are ok, slimjet 18.0.5.0 is rock solid, and your newest chromium SFS for 18.06 doesn't exhibit that behavior so for me it's just wait and see. Shows up in both 32b and 64b 19.x.x.x slimjets, both yours and my home-rolled. Just a FYI.

Cheers,
