I want to enlarge the Menu items text

I don't think there's a specific control for just this item.....

Menu -> Desktop -> Change Appearance -> Theme - Font selection (at bottom of window) allows you to increase the font size but will change other displays as well as the menu.....( you may need to do a Window Manager Restart from the Session menu to see the changes).

@Belham2 has provided JWM advice which does not completely apply to LXDE..... but global fontsize via Font Manager does work - but ignore bits about fixmenus and jwm restart!!!!

Hmmm, you mean these poor users of LxPupSC in the 32-bit world don't have the option & luxury of switching back and forth from LXDE and JWM? Just right there another reason to dump LxPupSC and put more effort behind LxPup64---which, by the way gang, Peebee gives you both desktop mgr options of doing with its own menu entry to switch back & forth. I just made the mistake that you all still running LxPupSc 32-bit have the same creature comforts & power that we do in Peebee's 64-bit world of LxPup64.

LxPupSc has the same desktop switching as LxPup64 - but for both, the primary desktop manager is LXDE and it's the LXDE menu that needed adjustment.....

As no progress made, I'm abandoning experimental
LxPupSc 32 and going back to my favourite distro Xslacko 4.2.

I don't like switchable dual window managers
in principle anyway, if only to avoid confusion and
improve user satisfaction on the necessary features.

imho think concerted effort should be focused on just perfecting
the considered better one of the two for the job in hand.

As a side benefit, with a big chunk of WM code removed,
the iso size will be reduced to the delight of those on
very slow broadband.

Sorry the advice didn't pan out (I'm surprised it didn't). I fool with menus and font sizes in all pups and pup-derivatives, no matter the WM. Oh well, it's not like X-slacko 4.2 isn't nice, because it is. We just need rg66 to come back and update x-slacko 4.2. Make sure you've got things like openssl and other stuff updated (a lot of stuff is posted for this) in it.

Change resolution to 1024x768 or get an older laptop with 1024x768 screen was my solution. Anything else is just wacky.

firefox is now version 52.2.0esr from slackware. see https://sourceforge.net/projects/lxpup/ ... /browsers/

If you have a folder /usr/lib/firefox in your savefolder this will need to be deleted and a reboot done before the new version will run.

Yes; the contrasting borders themselves (in the themes that have them) are not being rounded - but a bit of Compton drop shadow appears to "soften" that glitch somewhat, making a number of them quite usable as-is. A little tweaking could make 'em even better, I'm thinking...

ooh ooh radiussed corners Something I loved in some of my retro XFCE setups. Now back. I did have to remove my lxde/lxpanel/openbox setup in my rather elderly savefile and redo them after the update to get it but that's quick. 22T to 23T to 24T to 25T updates all pretty seamless (savefiles). Only using the core 2 duo lightly (til trees stop falling on fences) but all is well on it. Slimjet 14.0.15.0 (OscarTalks i686 SFS) running perfectly. 14.0.16.0 downloaded but not run yet.

Update: Slimjet 14.0.16.0 i686 SFS also just fine on 25T

Hi gyro.....that's a difference between Slackware 14.2 and Slackware Current....appeared very shortly after 14.2 was released on Fri Jul 22 20:51:23 UTC 2016 and has been updated a number of times since....

If you let me know which building blocks you need I can make a single sfs or a set of .pets and upload them for you

Have a look in /root/.packages/builtin_files to see the contents of each component and in /root/.packages/DISTRO_PKGS_SPECS to see how they were constructed....

I'd imagine you'd probably need:
mesa, xorg_base_new and xserver_xorg

but anything else?? eudev maybe??

17.06.25T updated to 17.07.10T then 17.07.21T on my core 2 duo laptop, 5 posts up. No issues seen. The real fun starts in a couple of days. I'm retiring the last 3 of my much loved Pentium M laptops. Replacements are on the truck. All Fujitsu S series, one a pretty a straightforward 14" i5, one a convertible 13" core 2 duo, and one a very light 13" i5 with a separate circular scrollpad that I know in advance will cost me some hairs
