Updated PupsaveRestore script

#1 Post by 8-bit »

I wanted to make an announcement here to let those that downloaded the original script and had maybe tried to use it to copy files as well as for restoring a pupsave file that I have again modified the script so you can use it for file copy without the destination file name getting truncated.

Also, unless the pupsave file you are restoring or the file you are copying is large, you will not see much of the progress bar.

Be sure to leave me any comments or suggestions other than being able to modify the script to be able to do multiple file copying.
That will not work and would take quite a bit of effort to do.
Also, if you place the file in /mnt/home it will be available to you for restoring a pupsave file.
CAUTION
I do not recommend replacing one while you are running that Puppy.
You would have one version in memory and a replaced one on disk.
When you rebooted, the information in memory would be written to the restored pupsave and that kind of defeats the purpose of it.
