F-Prot 4.6.6 and xfprot 1.15 virus scanner |
|
Here's the F-Prot virus scanner with the XFprot GUI.
I downloaded the latest F-Prot engine and Guest Too's xfprot version 1.15 dotpup, then repackaged them both with Mark's dotpup wizard.
After downloading click on update to download the latest virus def files.
Scans for Unix and Windows viruses.

Kirk, this is embarrassing to admit. I trust you did a good job
on the level you are on but for a noob like the level I am on
I read and read and fail to get what I am supposed to do.
Which puppy does that .pup work on?
Do I have to go to all these url and do that or does the .pup do it
automatically?
I tested the built in xf-prot in Slacko and that one gave an error message that it could not determine which version of f-prot I had.
Maybe I should have downloaded some file then? Which one? Sorry!

technosaurus thanks!
Yes I did remember vaguely that something odd was going on.
I take Virus seriously. I really want this to work for me
But I seems to not be clever enough to get it going.
And those that are that clever describe how one should get it going
on the level themselves are on so I am totally lost.
I have to wait until somebody at my own level describe in ordinary
language how one go about it so it works. Sorry
