ext4 built-in encryption

Puppy being based on ext filesystems, the news about ext4 built-in encryption may affect future development of Puppy.

Data protection is on the mind of the lead developer, and the built-in feature should improve performance over other kind of data encryption.

Androïd devices should also benefit from the research.

Very interesting posit. dm-crypt still recommended for Single Users. Server platforms go eCrypt. IMHO (and hardly useful, really) ext4-encrypt looks like gigacorporate juicy new bling. Add s2n from Amazon and place in a G-phone with 'droid. /IMHO
