ttuuxxx, while I was installing and testing the en_GB file, you already uploaded the sv_SE file :D :D :D !!!
Man, you're fast :D!

Those two files are the ones I'd use the most, unless there are any grammar files for AbiWord :?: :) .

Thanx a million, mate/

Well this was a bit of thing to find, plugins for a older abiword that works, This was taken from fedora/redhat and put together in one nice little package :)
http://puppylinux.asia/tpp/ttuuxxx/2.14 ... addons.pet
ttuuxxx

first click on tools in abiword and take note the directory, then close abiword and install the package and click tools again and see the difference:)

ps don't click stylist or it will crash, grrrrrrrr

well I've been using asunder and it works really well, it automatically downloads the song names etc, builds a m3u playlist, then in the preferences you can specify the output, Here is some of my results for a full music cd
ogg @ 6 compression the output folder was 80MB
mp3 @ 192kbps the folder was 89MB
mp3 @ 128kbps the folder was 59MB
wav uncompressed 649MB
It also does flac, but I have to compile flac first, the version in 2.14X is really cutback and isn't picked-up by the ripper.

.
..why not follow these simple steps Smile
delete /lib/firefox
delete /root/.mozilla/firefox
delete /usr/share/applications/FireFox.desktop
install http://www.ttuuxxx.gposil.com/2.14X/int ... 1.1.16.pet
refresh menus and you should be good to go, a lot easier than uploading 2 iso's with every release, maybe the final I might make 2 versions, but then people will want updates and every release will be 2 versions, hmmm anyways its simple to install Seamonkey the way I laid out the installs for this release
ttuuxxx
Fair enough ttuuxxx. Looks pretty straight-forward.

...synth's SeaMonkey 2.0 (Jul 2, 2009) + Flash 10 http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=43950 works really well in 214X
MinHundHettePerro,

Thanks for the suggestion and forum link. I'll grab a copy for the
addition.

All is good!

Thanks a lot :D !

At first, the grammar plugin failed to load due to a missing (stripped out) symbol in liblink-grammar.so.4.3.5. So I downloaded that lib-file from the debian repo, and now it works. :)

thanks again/

Hello,
took it from liblink-grammar4_4.2.5-1_i386.deb, actually an older version, so the symlink must be updated. :)

cheers/

Guys Guys Guys, lol

I've been compiling the latest gxine for 2.14X, and well I wanted it to be the best version to date, like having everything working, So I was on a compiling quest, lol one program leads to another and another and another etc X10, lol
so it got a bit out of control, I ended up compiling some sources I found on Ubuntu, a older version of faad, the latest had a stupid error, it said I could disable xmms, well you have to or you'll get errors since its not installed, but then when I went to compile it without xmms, I still got an error that xmms wasn't found, daaaaaa no kidding I disabled it, lol So I went to a older version that actually had a bmp plugin, now how good is that???
So then it wanted this other source for 'mpeg4ip' <---Notice the ip,,Well once that was compiled I had 2 new programs a video player "Cisco Open Source Streaming Video Player" and another program "Mp4Live" neither of this Cisco programs have I ever read about before, The "Mp4Live" is basically a full streaming server type program where you set a ip address and stream mp4 videos, you set the how long etc, tons of stuff. This could be real handy for people. Anyways pictures are below, and I'll see how the whole gxine package goes, the more I compile the smaller the gxine package will be, But I have a feeling that it could be about 2-3MB larger in total doing it this way, but could be worth it in the long run, due to all the extra new libraries that 2.14X would have, If you think about it, most of these libraries could be used by mplayer.

mplayer

One software i could not get to play well using my eee and Pentium II machines is gxine (i usually do my tests with Flash videos).

I've always had success in these machines using Dougal's compile of mplayer. In Firefox, media extension allows the browser to pass the playing of the media to mplayer. A wrapper script (with CLI command) handles the launching of mplayer.

Also, tempestuous is always posting mplayer builds here, and technosaurus has posted a CLI-only VLC player (Must be good to use with Firefox media extension).

I'm compiling mplayer right now, Barry has had issues with compiling mplayer about 2 months back and so he reverted back to gxine, I've also compiled Mplayer in the past successfully and also I've stripped my VLC 8.6h and made a commandline version about 4 months before technosaurus released his version, he's always a few months behind me ,lol, Also I've compiled gmplayer for upup back a few months back and really liked the gui, I'll see how many more libs would be needed to get it running on this version :)

Hi ttuuxxx. gmplayer GUI is OK and have all basic functions.

Mplayer works really good in 2.14x, I even could use it with SMPlayer and other front ends without problems. There are few libs needed see this post:

http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=43984

I don`t want to bother you, but could you please compile it to support AMD processors and try it in 2.14x, too bad I`m working outside home this week and can`t help you now...

I am favorably impressed with Puppy 2.14X version 5. I wonder why you chose to upgrade 2.14 instead of 2.17. What is the actual difference between 2.14 and 2.17? Do both support modems to the same extent? I notice that PupDial is not included in 2.14X.

Thanks for this version. If I dont have a need for wireless, I will use this retro Puppy 2.14X. Nice work, ttuuxxx. By the way, it doesnt really bother me if the iso gets up to 150 MB in size.

The reason why I chosen 2.14.1R as a base is that it was updated after 2.17 was released with extra video/modem drivers and it ran better for older computers due to the older kernel, It also ran better with newer computers like the ones I use, I didn't like that they messed up xorg driver and xdg menus, but that been fixed now, I would of had to upgrade about 100% the same in 2.17, well other than xorg/xdg.
Wireless should work with it also, there are like 2 pages of updated wireless drivers for this kernel. If you have a modem that isn't support by the 2 or so pages, then tell me the make and model and I'll see about compiling the driver. Once I'm finished with the main version, I'll quickly build a larger release with a few extra apps.

Tempestuous has gathered/updated additional drivers for this build. It is easy to find it - it is usually labelled "extra drivers".
