:D Hello,
Macpup.org working here... :D

Oh, and they compare Ubuntu to Windows, as if that is a positive thing....LMAO....

Nice mention of Macpup...Seems almost wherever Puppy is mentioned, Macpup is mentioned as well...

Cool.... 8)

A sneak peak , I rebuilt the last snapshot of e17 in 525 (same version that MP520 uses) currently testing . I am leaning toward building both a really lite version of macpup and a regular version. But that is a way off I am going to build a svn version of e also now if they have the menu icon issue fixed. We will see....

This is the silk theme, It is one of the smallest themes I have done ,2.3 Mb, almost as small as e'd default theme. Thanks to Whodo for the background.

Hey runtt21, you got me fallin' in love with E17! I compiled it according to your instructions and it's simply amazing!

At the moment I'm trying to build a dpup with my own 2.6.32.x kernel and E17, sort of a Macpup shifted from a Lupu base.

If there's any way I can contribute to Macpup, please let me know.

Thank you ,Iguleder.

Update: I have the set of extra modules that we usually include done. Engage is working. Places compiled but is not working ,No surprise there. But CPU is working again !! :D Everything else looks fine.

I wrote an E17 build script, would you like me to share it? It builds E17 plus the EFL plus many extra modules from SVN and works great.

Two modules failed to build because they're not maintained, they no longer build.

Uninstalling Default Macpup Applications

I'm building a barebone Macpup to be used as base for a Utility LiveCD used in fixing computers. I remember coming across a pet for removing default applications much like Pet-Be-Gone. Can anyone point me to where I can download said application? I can't seem to find it even after using search.

Thanks for Macpup 5.2, the more I used it, the more I realized that it is indeed faster (snappier) than Macpup 5.1. Or am I just too tired?

If you have a copy of lupu 525 it has a remaster without built in apps option. You may be able to pull it out of 525 and run it in macpup 520. Or wait a few weeks for macpup525.

Thanks very much for that information, runtt21 -
I've been really stoked with your latest offerings (511 on a Toshiba Portege 3840CT, 520 on a ThinkPad T60) and you have impressed my Win and Mac colleagues no end. But I guess like ragaman I sometimes yearn for a cut-down version that isn't so feature-rich with apps I never have a need to use. I wait for a MacPup525 with keen interest from you and Prit (and the E17 team...)
Cheers!

Sorry to be so self-contradictory now, runtt21 -
was just rifling through the backpages of this thread and saw on Page 4 your "how to" on installing glGo. Errrr.... for a barebones MacPup may I humbly submit that you trash all the usual Puppy games and JUST KEEP IN glGO. As you are well aware, Go ain't just a "game".
OK so you would need Java in a "barebones" pup - hence the contradiction. Never mind - I am thrilled with your detailed notes on getting Java (plugins) working in MacPup520, and I will be trying your recipe for a similar project I have on the back burner but bounce badly due to my java ineptitude outlined elsewhere (http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=67564). Perhaps your procedure might have java communicating fully under Wine - another anti-barebones issue - that others seem to have problems with in Puppy more generally,
Thanks!

[EDIT: later saw your clarification for gnugo vs glGo.]
