Re: review of pmusic 1.8

Then when I eject the CD , the bookmark still remains.
I think we should simply skip the option to bookmark a cd-track???
don570 wrote:When I clicked on the 'Fetch playing song' button , it would
work only with an Audio CD. I couldn't get it to work with a regular track.
'Fetch playing song' doesn't work - confirmed.
don570 wrote:Here's another bug that has existed in previous versions as well.

I play a song for say a minute and a half, then chose the 'rewind 30 secs'

option and the song goes back to the beginning consistently.
Please test this in the latest Pmusic. Should work now......
don570 wrote:To delete a song from the playlist requires a middle button click .
When I read thru the French instructions there was no mention of this.
So I think new users will be confused about how to do a deletion
of a track.
By default you can remove track by middle-click and from the right-click menu. If this still is not logical, we chould add a menuitem 'Remove track' with a info message. - What do you think?

Thank you for reporting

I wonder why Barry don't want to use the 1.8.x branch. There has been 20 bugfixes since 1.7.1

Hi all

http://network.absoluteradio.co.uk/core ... rvice=vcbb

using 1.8.3 in luci 256 and cannot get this stream to work, have tried saving it in a file as a .m3u and .mp3 as well
tried saving it as a bookmark but when i try to play it i get a "source not detected" message.

the same stream is recognized and played by mplayer and deadbeef

what am I doing wrong, have read the faq's but that just tells you how to bookmark a stream

also tried it in 1.7.1 and 1.9.1 in drake with the same problems

cheers

It not you, but Pmusic which fails here.
Mplayer (and probably deadbeef), use gstreamer for streaming, while Pmusic uses ffmpeg. ffmpeg is a bit limited compared to gstreamer, but it sure has evolved....
have tried saving it in a file as a .m3u and .mp3 as well
I don't understand what this is meaning?

I put the streams url in a new blank file and name it XXXX.mp3 or xxx.m3u to get the earphones icon then it can be linked to open with an audio program. so clicking on the file opens the audio player and plays the stream whose url is in the file.

hope that makes sense

It makes sense when naming it *.m3u :)

busybox-1.17.2-1-w5 breaks pmusic

#852 Post by mavrothal »

Updated bash BK's busybox-1.17.2-1-w5.pet and Pmusic stopped working.

Basically does not like `x=($("......."))' : unexpected "(" expecting "fi"
`<<<' : bad redirection and
`n=${#LINES[@]}' : bad substitution

Removed the pet and everything is OK again :?:
I guess this is for his blog.

Sigmund,
I have only now got around to sifting through the latest PETs and upgrading.

However, I just tried to download pmusic 0.8.3 and got "500 internal server error".

Thanks for the PET.

I sent zigbert a pm about it yesterday, I was wondering why he hadn't replied.

I have used alternative code in the next release of Pmusic 2 development release. Will be shipped soon.

I have some problem with playing mp3 files with pmusic.
This is what puppy is saying:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/pmusic/func: line 1665: [: !=: unary operator expected
grep: /root/.pmusic/tmp/REPEAT: No such file or directory
