Yeah, the Plasma desktop in KDE4 is a bit awkward until you get used to it. And Autohiding the KDE4 panel doesn't work in LHP 4.43. (See ***Bugs and quirks*** at the end of the first post.

From LHP-LookNFeel-KDE (3rd icon from right in Wbar) you can always select item 7 Restore KDE Menus, icons and desktop to LHP defaults at any time in KDE.

If you lose the panel just right-click on the desktop | Unlock widgets & right-click | Add Panel.

If you want the default KDE w/ no LHP tweaks (and no freememapp or blinky), just delete /root/.kde and restart X.

I don't know when KDE4.4 for LHP 5 will be ready. I'm working on a problem with kernel panics after copy-to-ram and Xorg/KMS display bugs in the base ISO. What KDE I've cobbled together was crashing every 3 hrs and still not sure if I've figured that out. Have also had requests for ATI and nVidia proprietary drivers.

I think you'll find LHP 4.43 has fewer bugs than 5.00 Alpha anyway. I would only upgrade now if you need the newer kernel, Xorg or CUPS and don't need KDE yet.

I compiled mtPaint 3.34.55 on Lighthouse 4.4.3
using configuration

I made a pet package that should run on most Puppies.

When running the installer i get this. error.

Esword_installer error: Note: command 'wget -nd -c --read-timeout=300 --retry-connrefused --header Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate http://www.e-sword.net/files/setup960.exe' returned status 8. Aborting.

I noticed that it uses wget command i know that this is a ubuntu command not sure if it will work in puppy

what is wrong with this installer.

I compiled a new version of mtpaint 3.34.59 in Lighthouse 4.43
and have been testing for a few hours.
It works in Lighthouse 5 as well.
