Beautiful tubeguy, Barry turned me on to them. I just collected them to put in Lucid Puppy. They should be in 117 later today. I have a 1650x1080 screen--are there any with those proportions. i kinda like the one we have been using for the default but who knows--they are a definite asset. Thank you.

Awesome. I got my graphics thing on the other night, happy to make any type of contribution, I love lupu! Confession time though, I know Photoshop waaaay better than inkscape or gimp. If anyone wants psd's or font files they are at http://tubeguy.org/puppybg.

Here's 1650x1050 versions:

It's like you set it up to have a pwidgets background; nice! 8)

Hi

Here is probably the first ever 'Magic Eye' style wallpaper for Puppy (i haven't seen any others)

Image

blue-magic_1024x768.jpg ... = 64K
blue-magic_1600x1200.jpg .. = 122K
blue-magic_1680x1050.jpg .. = 119K

If you need one for 800x600 screens, right click and save the image above.

There are various tutorials kicking about on the net, for example:

How To Make a StereoGram with GIMP, Blender and StereoGraph
If you are any good using Blender, then this is probably worth a look.
I tried to compile a copy of Stereograph myself, but failed, so i found and used this: http://ns2.canonical.com/en/intrepid/i386/stereograph/download
after unpacking it i copied the file: /usr/bin/stereograph (inside the .deb) to /usr/local/bin/stereograph in Puppy (i use Puppy-4.00)

I wasn't that impressed with the results produced with StereoGraph, though that could have been due to the textures i used  .

Magic Eye Stereogram - Photoshop Tutorial
Although this was done in Photoshop, i could see no reason why it couldn't be done in GIMP,
but saying that, i could not get it to work right :( (especially step 10), and i even used the image from step 7. YMMV

So i finally settled for this: Creating a Stereogram with GIMP
using GIMP to make my own depth map and texture files and using a copy of 3DMiracle to put it all together .
Yes 3DMiracle is a  windows  app, but it runs OK in Wine 8)

Hope this helps

I know this is off topic (well slightly, and I am a bit cross eyed after looking at that wall, a bit like Clarence  ) but can you do a favour for our old mate WhoDo.

Glassify the attached icon. He has a screeny in the screeny thread where the new Lupu Quickpet icon is a standout among his fancy 215CE icons.

What do you say?

Cheers
