I discussed with Raffy about what I should do with puppylinux.com.

Following that, I have created a new front page for puppylinux.com, that should clarify things for newcomers:

http://puppylinux.com/

I see in this thread that other URLs have been suggested, such as puppylinux.net, however, as always, the problem is maintenance.

puppylinux.org is there, has a lot of content, and anyone can contribute to it. It does seem logical to keep that as the main place for all things Puppy.

Regarding confusion over where Puppy is headed and just what is the latest "official" Puppy, I still seem to have a role there, as a channel, making announcements on my blog -- after receiving notification/advice from the Puppy stalwarts such as 01micko, mavrothal, Raffy, etc.

My new front page at puppylinux.com points to my blog for announcements of the "official" puppies, plus to information for developers, regarding woof-CE (the development system for creating official pups).

Excellent Barry. Good to hear word from the Master of Puppy.

Hello :)

Is this just me or is something happening with PuppyLinux.org?

When I attempt to access wiki from Puppy Linux Home Page I receive this message:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /wikka on this server.
When I attempt to access PuppyLinux.org wiki from Google search I get the same message.

I use the wiki a lot.
It was working fine yesterday.
Today is 1/10/15.

The admin page of the host is also unavailable at this time. Will check again later.

UPDATE: The wikka folder was lost (!) and onsite help restored it. No explanation received as to what could have caused the loss...

for test, i wrote a message to Puppy Linux News, easy to send.. Is there somebody who will receive it.. wait and see.. I take a glance on my mails.
each time you launch a new session, you get the welcome menu, unchanged since years. Nothing against the tool, on the contrary.
But if puppy builders build new ones, success or not depends on steadily information added.
Zap from a system to another is not really good.
Wiki too should be LTS, what is not the case..

Thanks for the reminder about updating the news site.

I was thinking that linking the newsletter at the top of puppylinux.org will take care of latest news.
http://www.smokey01.com/newsletters/

But as you said, the news site is being mentioned in releases, so back to working on that.
