side note: i will post a link on wednesday to download a .tar with the pwidgets clock skins folder so that u don't have to rip it out of gdesklets.

Hello

Hondasid,

The slideshow is now separate from the main pwidgets. There is a .pet called pwidgets extras available from the first page in the Pwidgets thread. It includes the TV widget too plus extra clockskins. :)

Cheers

I guess we're posting gauges backgrounds here too? Are they going to be themeable from pwidgets gui? 8)

Hi Dejan

They are not themeable as yet in Pwidgets gui but that support will be added at some stage. 8)

Keep 'em coming

Cheers

There's some cool clock skins here, but I need something else. The battery & space widgets on my screen are bright green and I can't work out how to change that without changing the whole theme. I'm pretty happy with everything else.

Is it possible to change the code for separate sections?

If so, where do I find it?

Cheers

Bones.

Yes you can change it in config files I assume, click on the widget in pwidgets dialog then File -> Show widget config files, you can set colors there

Hi bones,

Another thing you can do is make your own theme. It's not too hard. Look in /root/.pwidgets/themes and use one of the existing ones as a template. Once you make your theme, pwidgets will automatically detect it and you can use it. Neat eh?

Don't forget to share you new theme! :D

By the way, I think there are themes in there where the battery and space widgets are not green, try the "Peru" theme in the plugins>>themes tab.

....And remember that you can make a unique theme for each widget. Normally, the theme-file has the name 'main'. If you also make a 'Battery' theme, this one will work only for the Battery widget.

thanks Micko & zigbert. thanks for your suggestions. I've been able to eventually change the colours, so they look a bit better, but not sure how to make a complete theme.

Is it just a matter of saving the 'main' file as another name?

Just wanted to write a small tutorial on making Pwidgets sidebars. I discovered how to last night, and while this may have been said before I felt it could be said again for the newbies. I used gimp to make a canvas 220x768. This will be different depending on the resolution you use, but I am at 1024x768. So there fore just change the height according to your setting. All the bars have to be 220 in width. Now comes the fun part. If you just want a nice shading design or something it can be as small as 220x1, then pwidgets will just repeat it the entire length. Or if you want some sort of picture (such as the one it attached) then just make sure its 220x768, and everything looks alright.

The only reason I wanted to get this out in the forum was that I hadn't seen any one speak about it, and Its a lot easier than I thought it would be. I saw the images of sidebars that were shipped with Pwidgets, but I thought there was a special process to it. Nope its just has to be 220x(height) . Very easy!!!!
