pWidgets 2.5.8
Micko,
No Mick, the click clock won't be executed if one does not choose analog clock please try, I put it that way...... even if it is in fixwidgets
also slide, if one doesn't choose slide....it won't appear.....I also hacked it that way, please try....
There always be other ways to do it, and in what files they're going to be put in..but the current fix is fine...as far as I tested
And it's all thanks to the power of grep command!

Clockclickis fine, just getting carried away, it is still just a basic workaround. No probs.trio wrote:Micko,

Did you give some thought to my comment about the exec of 'slide' in 'func'? We have a conflict there which makes it unstable, you know, the creation of the dummy file happens twice, I think on some systems it works ok, on others it crashes.

really? I think it didn't happen to my computer....let's see....
edit: are the files named 000_000.jpg? and 01.jpg? Then you had your old dummy files there...
FYI: since the scale2pics wont be executed everytime with my slide fix, then when one chooses not to use slideshow, all the remaining images will still be in the scaledimages directory....

No, not what I mean, my dummy is fine, new one everywhere, 000_000.jpg. It worked before on this system before the 'pfix=ram', and I've done that three times since. Still fine on my other system. Remember, this is 4.2alpha, everything installed fine from the pet, I used yours, same anyway, no "" around image dir in /config/slideshow, 'pwidgets-exec' generates as expected, increased that sleep I added, slower machine, always starting from gui, then from terminal with 'fixwidgets' to debug, still no good. Hmmmm, see what I mean? What works fine on one system maynot on another. I can boot back to 4.1.2 and it is ok, on this machine! Settings all the same, even the sam pictures! (no silly 'clocksize' errors! )

Weather changing background .pet below:
1. Please set your weather location after install and set the weather icon's font (weather or the new pweather)
2. As I don't want to mess around with sintot's weather Icon script, I have to copy a part of it to my script, I hope he does'nt mind
3. Try it and just post any bugs in this forum.......
4. If something goes wrong, you can just re-install the pwidgets
5. I got the backgrounds somewhere on the web, forgot where, but it is free ...

New weather changing background:
1. More stable for unstable internet conection as far as I tested
2. Showing "data not available" when internet connection's cut off
It's fun to wacth the background changes.
