8Geee wrote:Though our Expos Fans named him, he played for the Mets in NYC afterwards, and opened a restaurant there (been there in 1978). We Mets fans of that era (1969 to 1975) still today refer to him as "Le Gran Orange". He had such a smile as I remember, a big man, full of life. After being hit by pitch just before the '73 Mets World Series loss against oakland A's, he still batted over .400 and made two great catches. A great baseball player, and in the Mets and Canadian Hall of Fame deservedly. A great humanitarian that started a foundation for Firefighters and Policemen in NYC.

A lot of us are gonna miss him. Adieu.

Ahh, an old Mets fan . I was a cubs fan in '69, the year they broke my heart lol

You no doubt remember Ron Hunt then, he also played for the expos and mets. Ron Hunt wore a wet suit under his uniform when he played,
He made an art of sticking various parts of his body in the way of oncoming pitches.

What a beautiful sight! (And site! Care to tell us the location, bigpup?)

Every old PC sent to a land fill without proper processing pollutes the
environment. Wikipedia has an interesting article about it:

The nose, bigpup, you have to rework the nose! Coyotes have a longer
nose than wolves.
