KDPUP SFS : etc modules, lib modules and lib firmware have been replaced by Racy's ones.
All the files outside are Racy.
Just have to rename SFS and pupsave "Racy"

Process step by step here

Test bench :
First results : not bad but no audio working (usual on old puppies)

KDPUP = KDE 3.5.10 + dpup 484 beta 4
Sorry, my tries will stop here. Don't worry, i have some Kde pups running. My choice remains "LegacyOS",

Pelo, nice try, kdpup is quite outdated though, I haven't been using it in years.
If there's interest I guess I could replace the base with updated stuff from dpup 487 (newer glibc, openssl and many libs) , but it would still have the same kernel.
Latest seamonkey works very good on d487 and I haven't tried firefox but I think latest versions should work too.

Hi.
Suggest the best way compile Q4os into Puppy?
http://q4os.org/
Debian based and a new Trinity just now.

Burning CDs : K3B still very popular

I don't like very much KDE Desktop. :(
But burning CD-RWs successfully changes your opinion :P
Dejan555, Puppy still use old stuff, look in /usr/shareapps sorted by date :) Using old stuff is clever when nothing better has been created, isn'it :?:
KDE puppies are not a lot, newest ones are huge sized, and not full featured.

* Q4OS 1.4 Orion - 64bit / x64 ... 308 MBytes

Download the bootable installation CD images below, you can install and use it free. The minimum HW requirements is defined as Pentium 300MHz CPU / 128MB RAM / 3GB disk.

* Q4OS 1.4 Orion - 64bit / x64 ... 308 MBytes
* Q4OS 1.4 Orion - 32bit / i386 ... 342 MBytes

This Long Term Support release codenamed 'Orion' gives you five years of security patches and updates, it will be supported till May 2020 at least.

Sure Q4OS is worth a try... 308MB is quite a Puppy. I will open it and watch what applications are provided as default.

sfs k163 added to SlimX.6.0

SlimX.6.0 is a fat slim at birth. It's a collector one. The creator gave it up as soon released.
I try KDE Office 163 with it... Spreadsheets, letter, and pictures. All that would be not so bad for home usage.
But Goffice is better, without any doubt. However graphics apps are nice.
K-Office-1.6.3.sfs: 47 M. I need kaffeine to test it, but kaffeine in sot included in.
kaffeine is rare It's not a real need, as i don't now it. I am curious. I didn',t found a Jukebox playing CD, and getting info about it on the web.
