Please clarify, as the only post by Aitch I find in this thread, is a link....

Please assemble the complaints in one post...
I truly do not see the "lack of cooperation" mentioned...
I'm afraid that lots of people ignore what Aitch has to say.
And the "Beggars cant be choosers" quote, attributed to some "From on high" or some such nonsense was R.TG., who, as I recall, is a USER, and not a developer...
That is correct. I as a USER say "beggars can't be choosers".

The devs here are great, and as always, I thank them for all of their hard work. :D

Read the "Official Lupu 5.25" thread....
Tell me Playdayz didnt bend over backwards...
Oh really, then why hasn't this been answered.
Because it's ill-mannered and insulting! Playdayz was the project coordinator! He made ALL of the decisions on policy, direction and inclusions. Yes, Mick was the lead developer. He did a great job! Playdayz was the driver - ultimate arbiter or dictator if you prefer - and he DID take on board each and every suggestion. Some people just cannot accept that NO is also an answer!!!
And I am using one of Playdayz fine products right now (5.20). My thanks to Playdayz and his fine team!

And, WhoDo, I liked 4.21 as well (and I liked 4.12 also, and I liked 4.3.1 also...) -- so thanks to all of you as well...

Agreed, and I would never want to stifle it..

This thread just smacks of unappreciation, and that bugs me...
My gratitude for the free, fun and safe..(4 years no virus/hack/intrusion) OS I use... Plus I have learned so much from the helpful "Royalty" here....
It aint perfect...but it sure beats the alternative....

Perhaps, but that in no way assures that his product will be low quality, or end up as unused tool... Most tools are complicated enough that feedback help develop a good product. But one cannot guess that before it is done.

you get a good tool with TONS of feedback

and whether you like it or not there WILL BE TONS MORE when released

http://puppylinux.com/development/proje ... quote]Note, even I have a problem with getting feedback. I have often submitted something for testing and hardly anyone does. So if even I have that problem, don't feel bad if you do!

Concerning release schedules. I will usually release an alpha and/or beta before the final release. Usually though I am frustrated by a very limited number of people testing the alphas and betas, so I have to release the final so that more bugs get found. Fortunately bugs in the final release are usually minor. For example, I released v2.16, then some small bugs were found, so shortly afterward I released 2.16.1.[/quote]

Right on! Too bad those like jonyo only criticize and do nothing to help, only berate those like WhoDo who have really made a difference with positive contributions.

And who made YOU the arbiter of what's "good" or what isn't? See you give some people a "seat at the table" and right away they get piggish about how much importance attaches to their particular snout in the trough! Do us all a favour, jonyo, and take that self-righteous whine and Puppyite cheese somewhere else! Go on, I double-dog dare ya both!

I've made a conscious effort to avoid this stupid thread.

What makes you all think that Lucid/Ubuntu devel has actually stopped? Isn't that the argument here?

It's moronic threads like these that are an embarrassment to Puppy... they have been going on for years and are nothing more than a joke.

The dev ranks here are thin enough. New blood is what we need.. is this the way to attract such?

Don't anyone forget, devs are users too.

Royal plebians?
