64 bit versions in the near future
Thank you, norgo. Working a treat in Slacko 560, and the rest of the kennels before long.

Much appreciated, mate. Very kind of you.

Cheers.

There is something wrong with the Search Function in Smtube.......but you can do a Trick to make it work again.

Instead of typing into the normal Search-field .....go down to the Bottom of the Smtube Startpage ....look for :
"Now you can fix the "Daily Limit Exceeded" problem by using a personal Youtube API key. Click here for more info."
Ignore it .

Use instead:
"Alternatively you can visit YouTube.com."
(click Link)
another (Youtube Startpage will appear .....click the Search Icon (right on the Top )
and type in your Search Item.
Business (almost ) as usual .

If you're running Chrome OS - on a Chromebook - you can't install 'normal' apps/programs like you would for Linux. Chrome OS is tightly tied into the Google ecosphere, and is pretty much designed for people who spend all their time online. As such, it can only install stuff from the Chrome webstore, in 'standard' trim.....although there are ways to make it run Linux, if you don't mind seriously digging into the guts of the thing.

These all appear to have been built for the Slacko (Slackware compatible) puppies. Bionicpup is an Ubuntu compatible puppy.

No, they will work in Bionicpup64 8.0.
But Bionicpup does not have the latest QT5 stuff needed.

You can read about getting them working here:

How many threads of this topic you plan to open ?

At first you asked for SMtube for Slacko64 6.3.2
I compiled a qt4 version for Slacko64 6.3.2 but never got a reply.
Now you ask for a bionic version.
In another thread you wrote of Slacko64 6.3.2 with bionic kernel.
Now you are asking for qt5 because of SMtube dependencies.

If you know what you really want ask your question, otherwise stop spamming!

SMplayer version 20.6.0
compiled in Slacko/Slacko64 700 RC3 and shared qt 5.6.1 libs.
smplayer-20.6.0-qt5-i686.pet
smplayer-20.6.0-qt5-x86_64.pet
compiled in Slacko 630 and shared qt 4.8.6 libs
smplayer-20.6.0-i686.pet

SMtube version 20.6.0
compiled in Slacko/Slacko64 700 RC3 and shared qt 5.6.1 libs.
smtube-20.6.0-qt5-i686.pet
smtube-20.6.0-qt5-x86_64.pet
compiled in Slacko 630 and shared qt 4.8.6 libs
smtube-20.6.0-i686.pet

important change
The internal YouTube code has been removed. Now SMTube uses an external application to get the video URLs
for playing youtube videos, python and yt-dl code is needed
if not installed, code will be downloaded and installed automatically
of course you will be asked before
( mpv player is recommended )
