And in some cases, completely free (I recently acquired a retired Win7 class machine that was considered "too old" -- I couldn't use the Win7, as it was locked down to only connect with the corporate network, but 3GB RAM on a 3.4 GHz machine makes a pretty darn fast Puppy machine).

Not sure yet what will be shoe horned on here when it comes in.
I still have some parts to get for it. I know it will test out new Macpup
when it comes out but broadcom may stumble, or not.
Waiting on it. My Amrel was the last touchscreen Laptop I ever played with
using Puppy. The electronics on one of the Amrels did not mix to well in 2 inches of water when my place flooded.

I saw your post as you wait on an incoming PC. Don't know if this would help you or not, but I thought I would run it by you.
You are aware that you can boot any PC that has wired LAN on its motherboard needing only RAM, right? You only need to set up a 0% server on an existing PC and any machine on your LAN will boot.
- Server
- PET setup only requirement from PPM for some
- No impact
- All other PC services on the PC are never impacted
- PC can be a laptop/desktop/etc.
Booting PC(s)
- Nothing to setup
- NO peripherals needed, at all, on the booting PC.
- Tell PC to use its LAN to boot
- All normal PUP services on the newly booted PUP
- No LAN impact except for the boot process.
