Gxine will not Full Screen

#17 Post by nubc »

I'm running an installed Puppy 4.0 on another system, with Diamond 32MB AGP card, Viper V770 ATX 2x16. DVD movies play okay, but when I try to select Full Screen, the screen flickers a second but remains at the current size. Various sizes 50%, 75%, 100%, 119% work fine (with the panel visible).

There is no Show Desktop code in root/.jwmrc-tray, so I copied the code from my tutorial and it works fine. I had to append grub with 'acpi=force' to get this computer to shut down. The computer is a P4 2.0 GHz ECS P4VMM2.

HP Pav 7935 wont connect by AutoDHCP

#18 Post by nubc »

I just spent the day installing Windows on a HP Pavilion 7935, successfully. Before I began the install, I gave the computer a workout with Puppy 4.0 live CD, and could not connect to internet by "Auto DHCP" with the following PCI network cards:

Linksys LNE 100TX ver. 4.1
3com 3C905-TX
3com 3C905B-TX
MPX EN1207D-TX-18F
SMC 1244TX (Realtek RTL 8139C)

Apparently, Puppy 2.17.1 live CD has the same problem as well. (Confirmed with 3com 3C905B-TX network card)

HP Pavilion 7935
Athlon 1300 MHz
384 MB PC133 SDRAM (32MB shared video)
20.4 GB WD hdd
VIA VT8365/VT82C686B chipset
S3 ProSavage onboard video
Rockwell 56k winmodem
CD-RW, DVD-ROM
